Persistency = Key to Success

by C. Brahkowski on August 2, 2007

Obviously, people who rob convenient stores aren’t role models or heroes…but this doesn’t mean we can’t learn valuable lessons from their actions.

Take this guy from Des Moines. He tried to rob a Kum & Go (it’s a store, not a hotel…zing!) but was fended off by clerk, Nicholas Bruce. Did he give up? Hell no, that’s what the terrorists want us to do. Like a good American, he stayed the course and tried again. This time, he brought some muscle and a look-out. With friends to help him battle this pesky clerk he was able to make it out with the beer. Persistency, friends, that’s what it takes to make it in this world.

How much beer? It’s not important. Which is to say the article doesn’t really say…and it’s kind of short on details. In fact, it’s really not much of a story…but when I see the opportunity to teach our youngsters a life lesson, I take it. That’s part of what brahsome.com is all about…albeit, a very small part.
