Worst. Facebook Group. Ever.

What if we were to tell you about a place where you could not only paint your face for a football game and make a video of it, but then submit that video as part of a contest to meet Brady Quinn? Is that something that you might be interested in?
Yeah. We think it sucks too. Without going into the whole, yeah-Facebook-is-better -than-Myspace-but-Mark-Zuckerberg- is-still-a-huge-Norris thing (Seriously. The guy wears Adidas velcro shower flops in a business casual setting) there are plenty of legitimate reasons to really hate this particular group:
1. Let’s get it out of the way. Brady F’ing Quinn. You’re Gillette. Your name is on the stadium where the Patriots play all of their home games. There’s, uh, not anyone else available? Hmm.
2. You’re opening up the world to statements like this: “lol brady quinn is a good guy. i have his autograph lol.”
3. In two days there have been 465 people join, six videos submitted and countless photographs added already! Such as, Clint S., dressed in a burgundy wig, telling us in his STEPHEN A> SMITH like caption, that, “DAT’S HOW WE DO AT VATECH! YEAHYA!”
4. The whole Chad Johnson thing where people submitted videos of themselves and their end zone dances had a lot of potential to be at least kind of funny. (And Ocho Cinco is the man.) This is just a bunch of douchebags with facepaint screaming at the camera.
5. This is a promotion for Home Depot’s College Gameday on ESPN. Since Brady Quinn no longer plays in college, we have to wonder, “Fuck the Heck?” Sure, you can’t use a college player because they aren’t actually allowed to endorse anything, but why not offer the winning fan something that, we don’t know, has to do with the GD Home Depot College Gameday??? Crazy, we know.
Hell, if we submit and win, can’t we just hop up next to Corso and Herbstreit for five minutes? Or bring them to the school of our choice one week? Sure, it’s not the same as hanging out BQ for a whole day, shopping for pashminas in the City, but we’ll make do.
