Attractive Women More Appealing Than Ugly Women?

The age old question- do guys prefer hot women to ugly women- has finally been answered. People have long debated whether, given the choice, a man would opt for a hottie over a nottie. Sure, there’s upside to both- a hot girl… well… is hot. An ugly girl, though typically not hot, usually has some redeeming qualities, such as a sense of humor, a sharp intellect, maybe some family money or what-have-you. And while we might prefer a game involving Erin Andrews on the sideline to, say, Holly Rowe, we can’t speak for the entire male population. Or can we?

A study in Munich recently confirmed that men, in fact, do prefer beautiful to busted. This shocking conclusion was reached following painstaking research involving 26 men and 20 women following their speed-dating experience. Before the dates, men and women were asked to define what characteristics they preferred in the opposite sex. The men, likely assuming the surveys would be read by some hot intern at the dating company and not wanting to look like a bunch of superficial assholes, listed many non-physical features they valued in potential partners. When the speed dating commenced, however, they were quick to pick the fuego over the feo (yup, we habla espanol up in this bitch). And though this came as quite a shock to the researchers, another earth-shattering observation was made: Men weren’t all that selective about whom they chose. Sure, they’d prefer the hottie, but at the end of the night, they wanted to get wet. Women predictably chose guys closer to their ‘league’, realizing that they don’t want to be alone and are best to find a guy who will deal with their level of hotness forever as opposed to during just one Saturday night blackout.

While this may curb the enthusiasm some of our female readers have about their potential for finding a suitable life-mate who is interested in more than their face, funbags, and fanny, we urge you to not worry. There’s a guy out there just as ugly as you who’ll settle. Keep your chin(s) up.
