Sticking It To The Man

by C. Brahkowski on September 19, 2007

Having solved all other legal issues in Nebraska and with some spare tax payers’ money to burn, State Senator Ernie Chambers sued God last week.

Apparently the the Senator was angered by another lawsuit he considers frivolous, so he is trying to make the point that anybody can file a lawsuit against anybody.

The lawsuit that angered Sen. Chambers is one in which the accuser in the criminal case, Tory Bowen, sued the judge for barring the words “rape” and “victim” from the courtroom. Bowen believes the judge is infringing on her right to free speech. Senator Chambers believes Bowen is wasting Nebraska’s resources. Brahsome.com believes this guy is a jackass.

So this guy is taking a stand against frivolous lawsuits. We back that. But the case that set him off is one involving the accuser in a sexual assault case. Not the little old lady who made millions off hot coffee. Not the guy who sued Kraft Foods for putting trans-fats in their Oreos. He thinks those were legit. What really grinds this Senator’s gears is possible sexual assault victims feeling their rights have been infringed. That is unacceptable. That he cannot forgive.

So exactly what charges are being lobbed towards the big man in the sky? Well, Chambers, who “skips morning prayers during the legislative session and often criticizes Christians,” has stated that the Virgin Mary’s babydaddy has not only inspired fear in Nebraska residents, but is also responsible for “widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants.”

Brahsome.com has been unable to confirm whether God has hired his own representation or if he will be using a state appointed defense attorney. Both God and Jebus were unavailable for comment.

I grew up in Nebraska and Ernie Chambers is something else. He wears T shirts all the time and talks on the stump longer than Joe Biden. He just rants and raves on this public access show that he has on local Omaha TV.

He represents the only African American area of the whole state in North Omaha. The Nebraska Legislature actually recently passed term limits so they could get rid of him.

Even though his methods are questionable, I usually agree with his points until now.

He has totally lost it and I have no idea what his logic is at all. Plus, who wants to F with a possible higher power?

I have blabbed far too much, Enjoy Your Blog, Keep, Keeping it Brahsome. word, Mac G
