More often than not, watching Div III college football is similar to watching the WNBA. The rules are the same and the effort is there, but it is usually pretty ugly and not all that exciting. This past weekend, the Trinity (TX) Tigers proved that even small colleges no one has heard of can make a play worthy of being mentioned on an elite blahg such as brahsome.com.
It’s tough to say whether this was a moment of brilliance for the Tigers or whether it was simply a case of the Millsaps Majors playing god awful defense. I’m leaning towards the latter. Either way, it’s always fun to watch a team try to pull one out as the clock expires. Congratulations to the Trinity Tigers for a big win. This is what happens when you don’t give up. As for the Millsaps Majors…well…effort like this explains why no Div I or Div II coaches returned your calls when you sent them your high school highlight reel.
