Friday Fixx 1/4/08

by Stamos on January 4, 2008

First Friday in the year of our Lord, 2008, and it fricking freezing. Stamos’ car was covered in frost this morning, and Stamos doesn’t have a scraper. So he used the only thing he could find- a cassette tape in his glove box that was the last remaning copy of a mixed tape he made for a bunch of friends when they graduated high school. Damn, what a fine, fine mixed tape it was, too. Some Doors, some Panic, some DMB (that was back when he was still kinda cool), some Skynyrd. Got a little weird when it wrapped with Green Day’s Time Of Your Life, but hey- if you graduated in 98, that song was pretty hot. Either way, jump down for your Fixx.

This is a tough call, figuring out what I want to open the new year with.  Usually I’d just go with something easy and standy that I know I like, such as some Feesh or Panic or Dead, but I want to branch out a little.  We need something hot.  Something funky.  Something with a black guy involved, because we all know they are hotter and funkier than us whities.  And the hottest, funkiest black guy around that I know is Karl Denson.  So, here’s some Greyboy Allstars on the JamCruise.

I am disappointed that the #1 modern rock band on planet Earth…aka Gov’t Mule is never on brahsome! I guess they aren’t too brahsome, huh? They get nice that’s for sure…

Are you sure? I thought Stamos dialed up some heady Mule or Warren Haynes one time? If not, I’m sure he’ll be happy to oblige.

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve listened to Deepest End in its entirety 15 times over the past two weeks.

And I want to inject cocaine laced Red Bull into my veins when I hear Claypool come out for “Drivin’ Rain”. Is that wrong?
