From the Wow Department

So I was perusing the ole interwebs this afternoon when I stumbled upon two pretty astonishing stories. While very different, both of these guys cheated death. One is brahsome and the other is downright terrifying.

-Window washer Alcides Moreno plummetted 47 stories, or almost 500 feet, from the roof of a Manhattan skyscraper when his scaffolding collapsed. And lived. That’s right, he survived. And we thought Jake Brown was a bad-ass. Sure he’s a little banged up and faces a long road of rehabilitation, but he’s talking now and will likely walk again.. The You Aren’t Serious Award of the day goes to Moreno’s wife who said, “you’re not going back to work there.”

-On the more brahsome front, Bill Ashely,a Laporte, Indiana man, was arrested with a blood alcohol level of .69. Around .4 usually kills you. I don’t know what the hell he was doing, but it probably involved a bong and grain-alcohol. A local law enforcement officer rolled up on truck that was crashed in a ditch. Ashley was just posted up in shotgun. The officer asked Ashley what was going on, to which he responded that his friend “parked” the car in the ditch to go hunting. You have to be pretty damn veteran boozer to form coherent sentences at .69 BAC.
