Friday Fixx 2/8

by Stamos on February 8, 2008

This is a nice little Friday, if for no other reason the ACC football skeddy’s are being released this afternoon.  Also, somehow we didn’t have a post on it earlier in the week, but the line-up for Bonnaroo 2008 was released this week.  None of the brahs have been to the ‘roo since the first year it happened, but that was a doozy.  Thsi nice thing about Bonnaroo is that while you know you’ll see Panic and Phil Lesh and the other big names, there’s always some great music going on that you’ve never seen or, in some cases, even heard of.  Also a comedy tent this year with Brahsome fave Zach Galifianakis.  Anywho, we’ve got a clip below of a band playing this year that you should check out fo sho.

Little Feat is one of those bands that’s gone though several iterations.  Lowell George, the great slide guitarist founded the group, but they disbanded when he died in the late 70s.  They reformed again in the late 80s, and changed singers again after that.  Anyways, they’ve been around for 40 years, and have a shit-ton of good songs, yet are somehow not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  For shame.  Here’s a clip from back in the day with Lowell getting nice in Cold Cold Cold.

Any of the Brahs hitting up any of the Panic show this spring at Walnut Creek? The Stones Sympathy with the Devil cover from last year’s Saturday night show still gives me chills. WOO WOO.

Oh we’ll be there fuh sho.

After your recent visit to the dirty south for the dry wedding, I’m guessing you aren’t dying to make a return any time soon…but Panic usually brings the heat in RawTown. And yes, that ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ was muy picante.

Roxboro, NC to be the exact location of the booze free wedding. The Spring Panic Raleigh Rodeo is a helluva time. We have to meet up for some blogger dork brews in the lot. Killa.
