We’re moving a little slow today due to a serious case of the Mondays, so to get the blahg ball rolling I would like to congratulate the Texas Longhorns on winning the Big XII. By beating Oklahoma Lite last night, the Horns finished the season 26-5 (13-3)…26 wins is a single season school record. 13-3 ties KU for best record in the conference, but the Horns beat KU earlier in the season, giving us the tie breaker and #1 seed in the conference tournament. Suck it, Chickenhawks.

After losing Kevin Durant (the greatest player in school history) to the NBA, Rick Barnes responded by guiding his squad to wins over UCLA (at Pauley Pavilion), Tennessee by 19 pts, and Kansas…then threw in a conference championship. Not too bad, my friends.

This morning Rick Barnes was awarded Big XII Coach of the Year and DJ Augustin was a unanimous first team all Big XII selection.
