God bless professional mascots. Is there anyone on the face of the earth who didn’t squeal with glee as a child when The Famous Chicken made it’s way to their section at the local minor league park? Well, apparently Steely McBeam, the Pittsburg Steelers mascot, was spending some time after hours with the “Beer Here!” guy. Hilarity did not ensue. Old Steely, despite being given 3 tries at the old ‘walk and turn’ maneuver after first saying he was nervous, and then complaining he wasn’t on even ground, was booked for a DUI, and was subsequently relieved of his duties, whatever they miht have been. Luckily, Kenneth Hahey isn’t the only man in the Steel City qualified to play Mr. McBeam, and Steely will be back in the public eye before you know it.
