Jack Is Back (/More Obnoxious NBC Thursday Coverage)

by Brinson on April 14, 2008

At first glance, this would seem like a Jack Bauer post. After all, when I think about someone storming back, if that person is named Jack, well it’s usually Bauer-Hour. But for whatever reason, Fox doesn’t want to let us know when 24 is coming back. The writers’ strike has been over, and we need our television — it’s a long summer ahead. But no, we haven’t gotten any Bauer yet and I’m not sure when we will. Instead though, we have gotten some 30 Rock, as Kigh mentioned on Friday. That’s right; NBC owns Thursday nights like no one else. Now, I, like an idiot, forgot to set my DVR to record either The Office or the Rock.

Jack Donaghy doesn’t snap men’s necks with his bare hands. He doesn’t scream “you …. SONOFABITCH” at everyone that won’t give him the code to the bomb. But he could do all these things. Basically it boils down to this one untenable fact: If you for any reason haven’t been watching 30 Rock, you have failed. Fix that now. Courtesy of our friends at Hulu, who are not really our friends (yet…), after the jump is the best way to kickstart your Monday. Last Thursday’s episode of 30 Rock, “MILF Island”.

And yes, if I had more time, I would totally fire up the What Would Jack Donaghy Do? series. Thanks to the Butter Team for the suggestion.

There’s really nothing more brahsome than a Monday morning review of a show that aired on Thursday and was reviewed on Friday.

Jack Donaghy > Everyone on TV

I would tend to agree completely. This type of review might define Brahsome more accurately than anything else we’ve ever done.

Also, I don’t recall you offering the entire show embedded in the post either, so there’s that.
