Yesterday we brought you the story of Johnny Law stumbling upon quite a few ganja plants (35,000) in Western Harnett Couny, North Carolina. We considered that a pretty large haul for the boys in blue … but on the global scale, that ain’t shit, son.
The counternarcotics squad out in Kabul, Afghanistan just set fire to about 260 tons of hashish. 260 tons. The hashish was found hidden in trenches about six feet deep.
The spokesman for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, Garrison Courtney, said the drug bust appears to be the world’s largest in terms of weight. He called the takedown “pretty huge.”
That’s what she said.
NATO officials claim the estimated value of the haul was “more than $400 million and would have netted about $14 million in profits.” Ooof. Somebody’s got some ’splaining to do.
Props to Blanko for the link.

$400 million worth of drugz nets a cool $14 million in profits? Props to the NATO mathlete who calculated that ROI.
