Stamos is out gettin’ brown a little early this week, so the responsibility of the Fixx falls into my humble hands. I’m honored.
I’ve been revisiting an old man crush I had on Brian Eno lately. Rumor has it that Eno and David Byrne will be hitting the road and/or studio soon, so I was looking for something along those lines for this week’s Fixx. I’ve been wearing out Wrong Way Up, an album by Brian Eno and John Cale, so I was thinking about maybe throwing one of those out … but Stamos likes to keep the Fixx on the live tip and there aren’t a lot of high quality, live Brian Eno videos out there. Or maybe there are and I’m just not finding them because I’m only giving it the Friday afternoon effort. Who knows?
All that being said, since it’s my week we’re making a compromise. Some studio and some live shit.

To keep the live feeling alive, I’m going to an old stand-by.
I went to see Ween in Nashville two weeks ago and it was the tits. While I was there I met one of the dudes who films all their shows. Here’s some of his work from Ft. Lauderdale back in February. The boys are on fire now, so I wish I had some footage of this recent tour…alas I do not.

I saw where Byrne was playing Lyric Theater in Bmore..might have to go. That Carolina Theater show a few years ago was the tits.
