Friday Fixx 8/1

First friday of August, and it’s hot as a bastard here in the old North State.  Mosquitos everywhere, and just that thick, thick southern heat.  The kind that almost makes you not even want to sit outside the pool becuase it’s just uncomfortable.  But you still sit beside that pool.  Cause honestly, who’s not going to sit beside the pool?  I mean, you’ve been working on that tan all summer and secretly working out and you’re looking pretty good and there might be some steez at the pool and she could be up for a little afternoon delight.  And by ‘afternoon delight’ we mean a margarita and a nap, not intercourse.  Get your head out of the guttern, man.  Nice music below.

There’s this guy you may be familiar with- sort of the godfather of great live music and ‘cid.  Thy name is Jerry Garcia, and he was born some 66 years ago today.  We won’t start in on some circle jerk about how awesome Jerry is, but we’ll suffice to say we had some good times with the Dead and JGB and Grateful Dawg as the musical backdrop.  Anyway, happy birthday, Jerry.
