I was just walking to lunch and saw one of those maintenance trucks with hoses attached to it. There was a sign on the truck that said “non-potable water.” These signs are pretty frequent, but they always baffle me. Did they ever stop to think that people most likely to drink that water don’t have a clue what “non-potable” means?

Have you considered that maybe they are trying to weed out the undesirables?
Pro-active Darwinism is a definite possibility.
