We’ve mentioned a few times what huge fans we are of Smokey and the Bandit. I have no problem calling it one of the best movies of the ’70s. You know it’s true. It was hilarious.
Jerry Reed, aka Cledus “Snowman” Snow, passed away today of complications from emphysema.
Reed was an accomplished musician who just dabbled in acting as a side job…his highlights include the Smokey and the Bandit series and at a least one awesome episode of Scooby Doo. He penned many of the tunes you hear in the movie, including the theme some “East Bound and Down.”
Reed was 71.
