This has been one tough week for old Stamos. Having to hang out in LA for a few days in the sun. Spending the night in the OC and making the short trip down to Laguna Beach. Driving with the top down in the rental Stang along the PCH to San Diego. Room service to the balcony of the 7th floor room at the Hilton in front of a lovely west side sunset over the water. Life is tough sometimes. Regardless, Mos pushed through, and has some nice west coast music waiting after the jump.
There’s been some solid music from southern California over the years. The Doors, The Byrds, Fleetwood Mac. One of the ones that doesn’t get as much play, but is secretly sickner is War. You obviously know Low Rider, but they had a slew of great songs, including Why Can’t We Be Friends and Slipping into Darkness. They also sand Spill That Wine, which is one of those songs most people would swear was by someone else (like Imminence Front should be by Peter Gabriel), in this case the Stones. This is a decent song to hear while cruising the strip with the top down, as Stamos learned just yesterday. Enjoy.

Wait. You thought “Spill That Wine” was by the fucking Stones?
The top-down-Stang makes a lot more sense now.
I said ‘most people’, bitch. I’ve had to argue for War singing this song on more than one occasion, just like I’ve had to defend Pete Townshend singing Imminence Front with the Who instead of Gabriel. And I’m sure if you were on the lefft coast, you’d have chosen the Buick Skylark instead of the convertible…
