If you follow Brahsome much you know that we love ta-tas. While our ta-ta watching is usually on a more lighthearted note, I would like to take the time to put a little spotlight on breast cancer. In addition to next month being breast cancer awareness month, the disease has touched my personal life recently as my mother was diagnosed earlier this month. I am pleased to report she underwent a successful double mastectomy on Tuesday and has a solid prognosis going forward. The key for her was early detection. She has never been keen on doctors and just happened to be lucky enough to notice a lump on her own, spurring her to go to the doctor. Please fembrahs, don’t take that approach. Get your yearly mammograms. Brahs can help too (besides offering to give free mammograms at the bar). Visit the breast cancer site and click the free mammogram button. 100% of the ad revenue from each click goes to fund free mammograms, which have save untold numbers of lives. So bookmark it and visit everyday.

Or you can be like my Mom, and the mammograms don’t show anything and you have to have an MRI to show it even though it had been there a year. Thankfully, she has finished a year of chemo and radiation and a single mastectomy and is doing well. I hope things continue well for your Mom, Piler.
Gracias, Tom. I’m glad to hear your mom is doing well also. The brahs will be thinking about her.
