Election Day Endorsement: I Back Johnny Mac

by The Piler on November 4, 2008

If you are voting in District 16 in North Carolina and haven’t been to the polls yet, I encourage you to cast your vote for Johnny Mac Alexander for North Carolina Senate.  It might be a little for this endorsement, but you know us, we’re lazy.  I’ve known Johnny Mac since I was a little boy and can honestly say he is one of the finest human beings I know.  He is running to truly be a civil servant and not for some personal gain.  His civic accomplishments are eye-opening and can be viewed on his website, alexanderncsenate.com.   To name a few, he has served on the Board of Directors for Peace College, Drug Action of Wake County, and the Boys & Girls Club of Wake County, served as past President of the Raleigh Jaycees, served as PTA Board Member for Lacy Elementary, Daniels Middle, and Broughton High School.  The list goes on and on.  The YMCA, which is his true passion, honored him by renaming the Hillsborough Street Y after his family. A true family, Johnny Mac is a small business owner with an understanding of how a budget works.  He values education and was as hands on as a parent could be as his daughters progressed through the Wake County Public School System.  As you can see, a vote for Jonnhy Mac truly will be a vote for your community.

Shame that he didn’t win – he is a character guy, indeed. I backed Johnny Mac!
