While vacationing in Barbados, MJ** took time out of his busy schedule to call in Wednesday to Primetime with the Packman, a Charlotte sports talk show with Mark Packer. Packer is frequently critical of MJ’s lack of management style. Big shocker, right?
During the interview, Packer asked the Bobcats head of basketball operations for this thoughts on the recent trade sending Jason Richardson, Jared Dudley, and a second round pick to the Suns for Raja Bell, Boris Diaw, and Sean Singletary. And MJ– who sounds high as kite — throughout the whole thing, rambles on about deals he might do down the road, as if the trade never happened. Packer, fighting back fits of hysteria, interrupts him several times to explain the trade has indeed gone through, while MJ continues to ramble. After the message finally registers with Jordan, he replies, “Right now you are saying we have completed the deal with somebody?” Packer replies, “You made this trade late yesterday. Seriously.”
MJ later asks Packman if they received a “tarheel back,” an obvious overture to the criticism that the Bobcats draft UNC players regardless of who else is on the board. No big deal, they only took Sean “Stay-Puff” May over Danny Granger. MJ finishes the interview by telling his hosts “Bottoms up!” While this is an obvious joke, so is MJ’s reign with the Bobcats, so who knows.
Thanks to my man Leopold Stoch for the tip.
**MJ is not the real Michael Jordan.

As noted above, this is a spoof call and skit, not the real “MJ.”
Thanks for the redundancy, James.
I heard the interview. Jordan was drunk off his ass. He’s so involved in the Bobcats (NOT) that they are shipping him off to Barbados so that they can make trades without him knowing. he was clueless and sounded like an idiot.
