While it’s a week late as Rod Marinelli was fired yesterday, this youtube is simply awesome. I heard the interview live and rewound several times to listen as Detroit News columnist, Rob Parker, verbally attacked Marinelli in a post-game interview following the Lions’ fifteenth consecutive loss this season. Specifically, Parker was inquiring about the Lions’ Defensive Cooridnator, who happens to be Marinelli’s son-in-law. After pushing Marinelli on why the Defensive Coordinator of the last place defense still has a job, he finishes with this final jab-gem: “Do you wish your daughter would’ve married a better defensive coordinator?” Yahtzee!

you have to know rob…. he was trying to make a joke, and it came across wrong. he’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but his critics are out of line. he should NOT be fired. Parker and Marinelli have a great relationship, and joke around regularly. this was just a classic case of bad timing.
