Live Nation: Not the Cure for Ticketmaster

by C. Brahkowski on January 30, 2009

Recently we’ve lamented on the god awfulness of Ticketmaster. Well, at 10:00 today tickets went on sale for the upcoming Phish tour and a few venues used Live Nation, rather than Ticketmaster … let’s just say things didn’t exactly go smoothly.

Props to harrisc from PT

Amen, brother.

Check out my own experience here: http://particularharbour.blogspot.com/2009/01/my-letter-to-livenation.html

LiveNation is a very, very poor second to Ticketmaster.

Dude, I got kicked out line 2xs after SELECTING specific tickets. When I finally got through they were gone, then 2 hours later I ended up with 3 tickets to a show they said was sold out at 10:30. Ticketmaster is way better then these other sites. At least ticketmaster doesn’t crash.
