Because Jameer Nelson’s injury will keep him out of this year’s NBA All-Star game, it was up to David Stern to choose his alternate.
The Cavaliers felt Mo Williams was the obvious pick. The commissioner chose Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics.
The Cavaliers were not impressed.
Cav’s owner Dan Gilbert:
“Ben Wallace was right when he called Mo originally being passed over for the All-Star Game a shamockery,” Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert said in a tongue-in-cheek e-mail to The Associated Press. “But not naming him as the natural and obvious replacement for the unfortunately injured Jameer Nelson is stupidiculous, idillogical and preposterageous.”
When reached for comment, Mr. Chiles denied working for the Cavs.
When asked about the Willie Warmer he called the product, “lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous!”
