My lady and I watched this documentary the other day and it was pretty awesome. Philippe Petit is a little Frenchman who gained fame in 1974 by tight rope walking from one World Trade Center tower to the other. He was on the tight rope for about 45 minutes, making the trip from one tower to the other about 8 times.
This documentary features first hand accounts from Philippe Petit, his friends and cohorts, as well as video footage of his World Trade Center walk. This feat was obviously illegal, so the film details how he and his team smuggled the cables and equipment to the top of the towers and the incredibly painstaking steps it took to pull off this amazing stunt.
It’s a very well done documentary featuring early clips of Petit practicing, walking the Notre Dame, and a number of other cool clips. C. Brahkowski approves.

I’ve been wanting to see this eversince you told me about it the other day..but what really needs to be talked about(I must admit-I’m a little surprised you guys haven’t mentioned this how already) is East Bound & Down…a Will Ferrell production about Kenny Powers and how he changed the face of baseball..it’s actually more about his fall from grace..and by grace, I mean sounding/acting like a cross between John Rocker and Andrew Dyce Clay! This guy/this show is AMAZING!
“kenny have you enjoyed your time in New York?”
Response: “Ha! You mean Jew York? Please”
You’re Fucking Out!
Dude. Somehow EB&D slipped right by me. I had someone ask me about it yesterday, too.
I DVR’d the first episode last night, which I will watch tonight.
