On Sunday, The Dead are starting their tour in Greensboro, NC and all signs are pointing to an incredible show. Check out Yes! Weekly, an awesome community paper for Greensboro, High Point and Winston Salem, for a shit load of coverage about the upcoming show. I know that the scene is going to be awesome outside of the Greensboro Coliseum because all of the O.H. (Original Hippie) behavior that is taking place in the lot. Here is a little video of some crunchy hippie interviewing a bunch of DeadHeads at ‘93 show in Sacramento, CA:

Stamos is going to be making his way down there on Sunday and already has a ticket to the show. I am going to try and make it back from a family visit down at the coast to try and see if someone has “my miracle” in the lot. If not, I am going to kick it in the lot and I will try and snap a few shots of some of the dirtiest hippies that I see there and share them with you.

While you are in the area getting your Dead fixx, head on over to High Point and eat at The Grateful Bread Baking Co. for some of the best sandwiches, salads and baked goods. Everything there is organic and healthy. Just tell them that Brinson sent you.

If you want proof of how badass this show is going to be, check out the setlists that the Grateful Dead busted out when they have played Greensboro in the past.

I’m a big fan of grateful bread..have been since high school via furniture market. It’s quite a heady place..

Here’s my setlist. Good show for sure, though I thought Warren did too much trying to sound like Jerry and not enough trying to sound like Warren.

Very nice. I was supposed to go on a party bus but had to pass to watch the masters instead. Heard from a few folks that it was great though.

I hear ya on Warren, though. I think it’s tough for him, playing in so many bands…if he goes out there and kills it the way you and I know him, then “he sounds the same all the time” or “warrens sound doesn’t fit/is too southern”…I guess it’s all a compliment..to be in his position, whatever you do on stage(regardless of the band) will be scrutinized. Not a bad problem to have I guess.

I am sure most of you know about The Live Music Archive but all of The Dead shows are up on there and you can download them or stream them from work if you are trying to be super crunchy.
