Pictured to the right is Mahmoud ElSohly, the man who oversees the marijuana garden in the Coy W. Waller Laboratory Complex at the University of Mississippi. It’s the largest legal cannabis garden in the country.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse has been using this facility since 1968 to “to grow, harvest and process marijuana and to ship it to licensed facilities across the country for research purposes. The lab also collects samples of marijuana seized by police to determine its potency and to document national drug trends.”
Basically, there’s a lot of testing and not a lot of puffing going on here … which is a damn shame.
