For those of you that don’t know, I am DEATHLY afraid of heights. HATE THEM. Won’t get on rollercoasters. Hate bridges. Don’t even really care for those spiraly staircases at beach houses. So, when the fine folks from the Sears Skydeck asked if I’d like to visit “The Ledge at Sears Tower” in Chicago for my day job, which, yes, is safe for work, I totally said, “HELLS YES.”
But that’s because I thought it was a club or a bar or something cool on the top. Like the Space Needle. I definitely did not think it was a 4.5 foot glass ledge extending out of the 103rd floor of the Sears Tower and into air so you can stare down at the Chicago River. Because if I’d known that, I would have said “HELLS NO.”
I didn’t though, obviously, so I ended up visiting the Sears Tower and going on the Ledge and I have video and photo proof. I invite you to join me at my day job and check it out.
