‘Kick a Ginger Day’ on Facebook Inspires Real-Life Violence

by Brinson on November 23, 2009

kick-a-ginger-dayGingers are odd people. We already know that they’re semen is worth significantly less than those of us who are “racially pure.” However, there seems to be something a little bit too aggressive about beating the tar/kicking the shit out of a kid just because he’s got red hair, freckles, pale white skin and seems a little creepy.

However, that’s what some young children did in California this past Friday, in order to celebrate “Kick a Ginger Day,” one of our nation’s most revered of holidays.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Richard Erickson says the boy, who is redheaded, was kicked and hit in two incidents Friday at A.E. Wright Middle School in Calabasas. As many as 14 students participated in the attacks.

Erickson says the attackers may have been motivated by a Facebook message announcing that Friday was “Kick a Ginger Day.” The posting may have been inspired by an episode of the television show “South Park.”

Wow, LA Times. I know you’re an old-school newspaper and need money and everything, but trying to pin this on South Park seems like an odd way to get money from the plaintiff in this forthcoming lawsuit against Comedy Central.

Oh right, sorry, that was just an assumption on my part from a journalistic perspective. Kind of like you stating that South Park is to blame for ginger hatred. Either way though: kids, don’t kick gingers. They might try and kidnap all of you and then sacrifice you to the Ginger Gods in a hotel conference room or something.

Well, that’s awesome. Except you didn’t link us. Which is not quite as awesome.

Only a sick fuck would condone this hatred. Anyone who would condone this hatred must have been the product of semen similar to that which created Adolf Hitler. You should be careful of what you write. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing. However, when it leads to harm of an individual or group, that is where the line must be drawn. A lack of this clear line is what brought Hitler to prominence and was the cause of the elimination of many Jews. Perhaps you should reconsider your comments before an individual or a group serves you a lawsuit.

Chuck- if you read Brahsome regularly, you’d know that was a callback to a post from a few days ago regarding semen valuation. You’d also know that on Brahsome staff are both a Ginger and a Jew. Carry on.
