It’s that time of year again. Every spring a few misguided souls at Texas A&M start campaigning for “yell leader,” which means they’re actually soliciting votes to join the group of crew-cut sporting, white milk-man suit wearing male cheerleaders. No one outside of College Station understands it … and apparently no one inside College Station has informed these jerkies that the whole nation is laughing at them.

So I was returning some books to the local public library the other day for my lady friend and became a little confused.  You see, I don’t hit up the public library very often, usually sticking to blahgs.  Conveniently, there was an outside book slot return so I didn’t have to mingle with the freak-shows that hangout in public libraries.  As I approached the return, the first slot that caught my eye was labeled “Adult Books” and, naturally, my first thought was “They have prOn books at the public library? Effing sweet!”  Then my eyes shifted to the second book slot, labeled “Children’s Books,” and it hit me that that mind was completely in the gutter.  Needless to say, that confirmed I’m never going back to the public library.

January 20, 2009 was a historic day,  as Barack Obama, the first white/Africanblack man in history, was sworn in as President of the United States.  I did not watch the festivities, as I was getting nice on a snow day off of work, but it looks like Barack, and family, had a lot going on.  Apparently, there were balls involved, and the Obamas were juggling them.  I doubt this is the first time anything freaky has gone down in the White House, but maybe the first time it was posted on CNN.  If it were me, I’d consider letting my wife  juggle Joe’s balls, If I could get to Mrs. Biden.  Did you see those eff me boots she was rocking?

Clean and sober, Amy Winehouse is on holiday (do I sound British?) in St Lucia and it appears she’s doing just swimmingly.

A source at the £200-a-night resort said: “We keep catching her crawling past bars, or hiding behind chairs. She grabs guests’ drinks and runs off, like a squirrel with a nut.”

The Sun

When asked to draw a picture of what they wanted to be when they grew up, second-grader “Sarah” turned in the lovely drawing shown above.  Needless to say, the teacher was a bit surprised — Mrs. Smith had always seemed like such a conservative woman.  So she sent a note home to the girl’s mother asking for clarification as to the picture’s meaning.  

Dear Mrs. Jones,
I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer.  
I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit.  I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it.    Her picture doesn’t show me dancing around a pole.  It’s supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot.
From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.

Here is a Mobilehoma sorostitute (Alpha Chi) crying in the car after she sprayed a fire extinguisher in her dorm’s hallway to make it look like snow. Instead of a “little poof,” she set of the fire alarm in the middle of the night during finals week. Apparently no one was impressed.

You really have to appreciate those “friends” who videoed it and posted it to the innerwebs. Friends like these…

I know Californication is big for some of the Brahsome folk, but I don’t really care — I’ve always disliked David Duchovny. Which means I’m ecstatic to find out that he’s breaking up with his wife thanks to Billy Bob Thornton plowing her.

Okay, I’m kidding. That’s just not cool. However, it is weird/ironic/awkward that Mulder, who just left rehab for SEX ADDICTION (is that better or worse than pot), is losing his marriage to Thornton, no stranger to a freakish sex life.

David Duchovny and his wife Téa Leoni have split up after the actor allegedly discovered explicit text messages on her mobile phone sent by Billy Bob Thornton.

It was Miss Leoni who persuaded her husband to receive treatment for ’sexual compulsion proclivity’ at the Meadows clinic in Arizona, followed by further treatment at the Keystone centre in Pennsylvania.

Important? No. Newsworthy? Of course not. Awkward and interesting? I thank you much.

Also: Thanks a lot for forcing me into sex rehab and then leaving me for Billy Bob Thornton, honey. You’re swell.

My favorite story about Carlos Boozer is that he has a brother named “Charlie”. This may or may not be true. If it’s the latter don’t tell me.

What I do know is true is that Boozer’s nickname in Chinese, “Fan Gu Zai”, translates literally to mean: “Betrayal Skull Dude.” Yessssss.

The betrayal skull reference comes from the Chinese story of Zhuge Liang, one of China’s most well-known intellectuals and military strategists. According to legend, before Zhuge died, he said, “Wei will betray the country sooner or later.” Wei was a general under Zhuge’s supervision.”

How do you know?” someone asked.

This news comes to us from the Cleveland Plain Dealer via Ziller and is, if you think about it, fairly accurate. Boozer did, after all, totally screw over the city of Cleveland and blind-man-in-the-dark (just for you Big Tom) Gordon Gund when he rolled to Utah. As for the the large bone beefing up his domepiece? Well, I can’t speak to having noticed that, but I’ll play along.
