Answer: I am pretty sure those are all photoshopped. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

C. Brahkowski January 19, 2009 at 1:53 pm

You’re wrong, son.

That picture is, in fact, the Dude. He headlined Brahsome Fest last spring. The picture was taken by annie leibowitz, whom we hired to cover the event.

ryan taylor January 19, 2009 at 4:48 pm

is there anywhere that the pictures from Brahsome Fest are posted? And where is Brahsome Fest held, me and my wife would go to see the dude perform.

Brinson January 20, 2009 at 1:55 am

I would like to point out that NONE of the people in our header are real. Or fictional. And any resemblance to any real or fictional characters, or any likeness otherwise insinuated, is merely a coincidence.

ryan taylor January 21, 2009 at 8:52 am

Brinson,
look at post number 4. He is a real person, we all know that. I was just wondering when and where Brahfest is held and if there is anywhere that the pictures from the event was posted.

Wake @ State is the only ‘Pack (ACC) game not televised all season? This is asinine! If it’s even possible, I hate Raycom even more now… Surely you guys have enough pull to do something about this.

Check out East Bound and Down on HBO if you haven’t already. Its on sundays at 10:30 after Flight of the Conchords. Danny McBride from Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder is Kenny Powers a washed up pitcher. Who is pretty much a cross between Jon Rocker and Sam Kinison.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know we are now running an article about “Mardi Brah” …we hope to be able to make it however we’ve recently put down quite a bit of money to have a real nice website created…so money is tight. We’ll do our best.

Good luck!

SpiritWarden May 9, 2009 at 1:15 am

Brinson,
I haven’t yet listened to your “Houscast” with Mariotti, but I’m very hesitant to do it. How can you deal with him and still claim any credibility? There’s no way AOL let you ask him any question worth a shit and there’s no way he answered with anything other than bullshit. Yet I’m supposed to spend an hour listening to that?

I understand that may get a lot of downloads, BUT so does High School Musical.

Brahs,

No recap of the night in AsheVegas? Come on you can’t be hurting that bad. I did all three at Jones Beach, and while I may have ended up in the hospital come Saturday night, it took 3 concerts and a day at the Beer Garden to put me out of commission. Lets here what you thought about the Phish….Plus you’ve been lazy brahs lately no fucking posts. Still dig the site though.

Hi,

I was curious what it would take to get a text link on your blog saying something like “Tungsten Wedding Bands” or “Tungsten Wedding Rings” with a hyperlink to our site (www.tungstenringsonline.com).  We are a relatively new company and we are currently trying to improve our page ranking on Google.  We operate on a small budget, and we would be more than willing to give you a tungsten ring from our site in exchange for a link.  Let me know if this would be something that you would be interested in.  Thanks for any help you can give us.

Thank You

CampusGossip.com is the #1 college gossip website in the world and growing drastically everyday with a demographic aiming towards 18-34 yr olds, so we’re aiming towards the same general crowd as your site. I was
wondering if we could set up some sort of link exchange and send each other some traffic? We would love
to push some of your stories and much more in exchange for just a CampusGossip.com plug/mini article and blogroll exchange. We think that you may really find some interesting stuff with our new RAW section which is stirring up a lot of controversy. We have a huge media tour scheduled for October filled with tons of radio,
newspaper, and magazine interviews. Look forward
to hearing from you.

Sorry to bother you but this is the hottest post we’ve had in a while. Take a look through and I’m sure you’ll crack a smile at some of these weird ‘fashion’ inventions:
http://bagbunch.com/bizarre-purses-handbags/

Oh and I’m also looking for any other examples of extreme bags you might know of (not just handbags but rucksacks, laptop bags etc.), or if you could tell me which is your favourite one out of the 50 I’ll link you up next to that bag. Just like to get a bit of blogosphere involvement going on.

Hope to hear from you :)

point to push, Stumble, link to and “Tip’d” the blog posts, which is a win-win situation for all of us.

Just wanted to introduce ourselves, as we are the new blog on the block, StalkingStevePhillips.com. Check out what we found on Tiger.

Our spies snapped this shot of an Accenture Tiger Woods banner outside the Heathrow Airport departure lounge. Obviously the memo that Accenture dumped Tiger’s sponsorship deal hadn’t made its way across the pond. But take a closer look — maybe the account execs at Accenture knew about the brewing scandal the whole time….

Pretty amusing. Happy New Year!

Hi,

Thirty-five years ago Robert Klein launched stand-up comedy on HBO with his first solo special. Now, he’s returning for his ninth one-man show on the network as Robert Klein: Unfair & Unbalanced, which debuts Saturday June 12 at 10-11PM ET/PT.

Taped in the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Robert Klein: Unfair & Unbalanced features his signature blend of observational humor and original songs, accompanied by the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, a 47-piece ensemble conducted by producer and musical director Bob Stein. Topics discussed in the special include: political indiscretions and hypocrisy in Washington; the challenges of opening plastic packaging; bizarre sales techniques; TV and pop culture; pharmacological concert experiences; unusual movie love scenes; and musical numbers about Barack Obama, medicinal herbs and gay marriage.

In 1975, Robert Klein made HBO history when he starred in the network’s first stand-up comedy special, “An Evening with Robert Klein,” going on to headline seven more specials. He was Emmy®-nominated for the song “Colonoscopy,” which he co-wrote, from his 2000 HBO special “Child in His ‘50s,” and also performed on several of the network’s “Comic Relief™” fund raising events.

Here’s two clips from the special “Medical Marijuana” and “Airport Sex”.

Thought you might be interested in sharing them with your readers.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Kate

Re: Royalton Hotel to Offer iPads In All Rooms

Hi,

I wanted to share some exciting news from Morgans Hotel Group, who have just announced their plans to launch a new virtual concierge program via iPads, which will be available in all guest rooms at the NYC located hotel Royalton.

In keeping with Morgans Hotel Group’s commitment to innovation and to offering its guests engaging experiences from nightlife to design, this latest amenity will deliver content from “The List” destination guide, curated by the group’s concierge teams in collaboration with UrbanDaddy, access to the companies’ acclaimed music compilations, content relating to Fashion Week, the Armory Show and other current, New York related events and access to select movies and television shows. Mobile applications and services will also be included.

This innovative hospitality development will offer guests the opportunity to interactively explore the hotels many amenities, browse and order in-room dining options, communicate with the concierge for tickets to events, or arrange a car service; all on brand new Apple iPads. From the convenience of their room, guests will have direct communication with hotel management allowing them a novelty experience and further establishing a seamless stay at Royalton.

The Guardian: Top 10 Books about War

Hey,

Just wanted to fill you in about a list of the ten best war stories throughout history that Karl Marlantes of The Guardian complied today:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2010/aug/11/karl-marlantes-top-10-war-books?CMP=OTCNETAFL1346

The list includes early books that question the morality of war like Homer’s The Illiad, as well as novels like Stephen Crane’s The Red Badge of Courage, which examines the difference between bravery and cowardice in the face of death from a man who never experienced a battle himself.

Norman Mailer’s The Naked and the Dead stresses that for most veterans, an emotional stir comes more so from the camaraderie he feels with his fellow soldiers than from defending sweeping political movements.

Hope you can link or post!

Thanks,
Kate

Brennen August 23, 2010 at 7:06 pm

Hey there,
Just seeing if you’ve checked out the latest single “John Lennon,” from Arkells! It’s the first single off “Jackson Square,” out late this August on Dine Alone Records. Here’s a link to the MP3 File:

http://www.mediafire.com/?m0l8mx02fbnp22p

The Band has shared the stage with everyone from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs to the Black Lips, to Pearl Jam, and recently announced they will be joining Tokyo Police Club on their North American Tour.

It would make my day if you posted them on your blog!

Thanks,
Brennen

Hi,

I thought you guys would enjoy posting about this, since it’s timely and involves quite a bit of absolutely insane shit that I can’t believe people have actually done as part of a hazing process.

Just in time for back-to-school season, here are the most brutal college hazing rituals from around the United States — from being sexually assaulted using knives, pens and household tools, to being forced to consume deadly amounts of controlled substances, to being locked in a room with human excrement.

The 14 Most Brutal College Hazing Rituals
http://www.ranker.com/list/the-14-most-brutal-college-hazing-rituals/ariel-kana

Please post a link to this in the morning if you like it and thanks so much for your time. Hope you like this list, it’s pretty insane what people will do to belong to a social group you have to pay to be a part of.

Cheers,

Brian Gilmore
