After picking up a big conference win on Saturday against the Red Raiders of Texas Tech, Oklahoma Lite football coach Mike Gundy took his smiling face to the podium at the post-game press conference and delivered a rant with emotion not seen since Dennis Green’s explosion in Arizona (although with far less non-sensical screaming than Green’s…unfortunately).
Gundy took exception to an article written by Jeni Carlson, reporter for the Daily Oklahoman, and since she was in the room, he took the opportunity to look her in the eye and express his discontent.
Ms. Carlson’s piece, published prior to Saturday’s game, questioned OSU quarterback Bobby Reid’s drive, citing the fact that his mother fed him chicken in public as a reason he might be not ready to handle the starting job, and suggested the coaching staff might be ready to hand the reigns over to Zach Robinson full time. Gundy respectfully disagrees.
