By now everyone has seen the video of the UNC sloots crying over a loss. This wasn’t the NCAA tournament, mind you, this was a mid-season January L that sent the whine and cheese faithful into full on sob-mode.
What’s being lost in all this, however, is the UNC fan yelling “Go back to the ghetto!” to the Maryland players as they walk off the court. Listen closely at the 5 second mark of this video below. Classy Tarheels, classy.

This is sadly more indicative of the UNC fanbase than most powder blues would care to admit. Shameful.

At the close of our basketball team’s heartbreaking loss to Duke last Saturday night at the Cole Field House, students threw water bottles, cups and other debris in the direction of the Duke bench and onto the Duke fans and the parents of Duke players. Apparently these missiles struck, among others, the mothers of three Duke players, one requiring medical treatment.
Granted, some of you whining about the UNC fans might not have been born in 2001, and this doesn’t excuse the “ghetto” comment heard on tape, but Maryland fans hardly define classy.

I hope everyone heard the announcement after the game that staff counselors were available at the (arm) pit, and all classes will be cancelled for tuesday.
You are a disgrace to the world, classifying an entire fan base based on the words of one upset/racist girl. As a UNC fan living in Chapel Hill I am open to all races and the fact that you would describe me as a racist individual based on my Fanhood is a travesty. You should probably go on a drive in the mountains and rethink what you want to do with your life because accusing others of racism is no honorable deed and your writing skills need some work.
Not as racist as ECU. I’m a graduate and have never seen more racist behavior than the four years I spent there. I’m shocked they’re actually able to recruit football players there.

Not to take up for the the tarholes..I’m glad they lost! But one thing is certain, the poor girl you have in your little pathetic video is not the one who said the “ghetto remark” She is guilty because she is white…that’s all, doesn’t matter if she said the remark or not. I’m sure she must have done something racially offensive at some point, right. I hope she gets a good lawyer and sues the hell out of the person who posted this trash..

What I see is a still image of a female UNC fan with a headline above it saying UNC fans are whiny and racist, to be followed by check out the UNC FAN YELLING “GO BACK TO THE GHETTO”. Could be interpreted many ways, but I can certainly see how Daddy’s legal team might interpret it….I know, spoiled UNC brats.

Anywho, the girl pictured by the YouTube capture thing (with hands on face) isn’t yelling. She’s crying. It’s some random chick or dude with a high pitched voice doing the yelling in the background.

Just because one person says something racist, doesn’t mean that all Carolina fans are. But more to the point, the crying girls brought a smile to my face.

Have to agree with #7 above. I lettered in football at ECU, am white, and have never witnessed such racial vitriol as spewed by the student body there. It was a rude awakening from my hometown environment. To this day, that is why I’ll have nothing to do with the Pirate Club. Visits to UNC and NCSU were nothing like the climate in Greenville.

I couldn’t care less who won the game, I am a PAC 10 guy, so I am not biased in saying that your accusations are moronic. Have you ever been to a sporting event in your life? Is “go back to the ghetto” the worst thing you have ever heard? Have you ever been to College Park? It is a pretty crappy place.
It is obvious that no one posting or commenting on this blog has ever played competitive sports (with exception of the ECU FB players), because this comment would be classified as rated G.
Did it occur to you that you are picking on some little freshman girl who got excited about her college basketball team? Come on.

Mobile- where, exactly, did we say this was ‘the worst thing we’ve ever heard?’ It was a classless comment, and since we live in NC, we’re surrounded by super smug hard-parters constantly talking about how classy UNC is. This post was simply an attempt to point out that just because they wear sweater vests and drink chablis doesn’t mean they are ‘classy.’
