Duke is the hottest team in America right now but we suppose for NCAA/ACC tournament seedings-stuffs (pipe dreams…we all go to NC State) we were probably pulling for the Dookies. You know who else was probably pulling for the Dookies? Dick Vitale, a.k.a. Douchebag Smurf. Chris Mottram just leapfrogged everyone for best new nickname of 2008.

UPDATE:We just assumed everyone was on board with the Dookie V statements, but the comments show some contrarian point of views. Hence, the State presents Exhibit B, the Vitale family at the game.

   Are you serious? First of all that picture looks like the feminine blue from fairyland to me..2nd of all, Dickie V has always been a homer for every top program..but none bigger than that tarbabies. He used to go crazy when a dean-led tarhole club would beat duke..referring to dean as “michaelangelo”..it used to be nauseating. Somehow, over the years, with enough media spinning people have had the notion driven home that he is a hard-core dukie..which is not true. He loves K and Duke..but not enough for people to lose their mind over it. The control that the media has is ridiculous. Dickie V is terrible but not because he loves duke..he is just terrible in general..as long as its a premier program he is a bigtime homer.

   easy on the ‘we all go to NC State.’ while i’ve basically adopted dat Pack as my ACC squad, the Horns have knocked off two top five teams (UCLA/KU) and will be heading to the dance. just to clarify.

   And I’ll kind of agree with Will…I don’t think it’s so much a love affair with d00k that drives Dickie V, as much as it is his love affair with Tobacco Rd. Although, he does seem to lean towards the Devils ever since J.J. Redick was there…he even had his grandson in a Redick jersey at the games….
