Stamos bought himself a house two weeks ago today, and since then, it’s been one nighthorse after another. Moving simultaeously sucks and blows. From packing shit up to painting the new place to unpacking to realizing you don’t have space for everything to accidentaly running over the basketball goal at your future father-in-law’s house because you forgot that the moving truck was 10′6″ tall to realizing that your fiance hates everything you own to debating whether you want to eat this week or buy a new TV and ottoman… It’s just one thing after another. And, while your at it, try starting a new job the same week.
Stamos is a man who either loves or hates change. It’s tough to tell, since he’s changed so little since the days of his youth. Sure the hairline is creeping back, and there’s very few ‘Bourbon Wednesdays’ anymore, but he’s had the same job for 5 years, the same lady friend for almost 4, and the same Jordan Catalano style corduroy jacket since 7th grade (he said with a shocking amount of pride). But, when that guy gets his change on, he gets or for reals. Like getting married, buying a house, and starting a new job all within 3 months. Toss in the fact that there isn’t a weekend he’ll be able to enjoy his new digs until after the wedding, what with the batchelor parties for he and his brother, his brother’s wedding, visits to Grandpa’s house, a couple of trips to the wedding site for preparation, and two other friends committing to their loved ones. Add in the fact that the new job takes old ‘Mos out of town for 2-4 nights a week, and life is becoming a punchline. And while he doesn’t expect sympathy from fellow brahs or readers (surely he knew than when he took a knee he was really just bending down to grab ankles for the next several months, if not an entire lifetime) hopefully you’ll forgive the recent lack of postage on ye olde blahg. If there’s one thing about life on the road, it’s that as long as he doesn’t forget the laptop, there’s plenty of time for late night blahging. Hasta.
