I can’t say I’ve ever read a Harry Potter book. Nor have I seen any of the movies. They showed one installment on a flight I was on to Vegas a while back, but the American Way magazine had an enthralling article on where the old chick from Gilmore Girls likes to eat when she’s in DC. So I passed on the movie.
Emma Watson, apparently one of Harry’s peeps in the popular stories, just turned 18 and now she can get her hands on all those quarters she’s been keeping in her piggie bank. According the NY Daily News, it’s about eighty million quarters.
For most teens, turning the big 18 and becoming a legal adult comes with a few small perks including voting rights. For Emma Watson, Hermione in the Harry Potter films, turning 18 grants her access to the $20 million she’s amassed making the wildly popular film series.
Suite baby jebus. Can you imagine getting your hands on $20 million on your 18th birthday?
Best. Rollerskate party. Ever.
