Get Ready for Dat Pack Spring Game

by The Piler on April 18, 2008

As you well now by now, we back the Pack here at Brahsome, along with a little Longhorn mixed in. Tomorrow is the Pack’s spring game and there are a ton of questions to be answered before this fall. Primarily who is going to be taking snaps. People are talking about redshirt frosh Russell Wilson, who doubles as a baseball player when not on the football field. Returning senior starter Daniel Evans is sidelined after shoulder surgery and will miss all of spring practice. Junior Harrison Beck and sophomore Justin Burke figure into the equation this spring as well. Coach O’Brien doesn’t look to name a starter until just before the Pack’s opening game at South Carolina. Many feel this is because Major Tom wants to give decorated incoming freshman Mike Glennon every opportunity to win the job. My personal hope is that Wilson steps up allowing Glennon to redshirt. Unfortunately, I’ll be getting nice on the Outer Banks this weekend and won’t be at the game. Check out the clip above for a little preview of Wilson.

“Daniel Evans is sidelined after shoulder surgery and will miss all of spring practice.”

Is it too offensive to say that this is probably a good thing for dat Pack?

Not at all. Daniel is a fellow Broughton alum and I love him, but it’s time to move on. Great kid and has worked hard for us, but Wilson and Glennon are the future.
