Well. . .that didn’t take long.
After being knocked the buck out of the playoffs last night, Mark Cuban stuck the old pink slip in Avery Johnson’s locker.
Arguments can be made on both sides, obviously, but I’m not really sure Avery was the problem. He was 194-70 (.735) during his time in Dallas and took the Mavs to the playoffs four consecutive years.
That being said, something had to give as Dallas has not been much of a playoff threat since losing to Miami in the ‘06 finals. They have 12 losses in the last 16 games. That ain’t good, phans.
