Maria Sharapova was eliminated from the French Open last night after giving up a sizeable lead to fellow russki Dinara Safina (not pictured, not hot).
Safina won the match 6-7 (6), 7-6 (5), 6-2.
After the abrupt retirement of Justine Henin recently, Sharapova moved up from #2 in the world to #1, but her stay at the top might be short after getting bounced out.
