Walnut Creek Amphitheatre is near and dear to the brah’s hearts, because it’s our hometown arena.  Nowadays it’s called The Alltel Pavillion at Walnut Creek, but back in our youths, there were few better places than pole 3 at Hardees Walnut Creek.  There were many firsts occurring there- first drinking tickets, first mid-Dave Matthews Concert boobie grope, etc.  And it was where Stamos saw his first Phish show in 1995, which was awesome.  You know what else was awesome?  Their show in 1997, where they played through a violent thunderstorm and there were rainbows and shit got crazy.  Don’t believe us?  Well, you can see for yourself as Phish is releasing that show on DVD- preorder available through August 1st.  Here’s a clip of the boys from that tour so you have an idea of how hard they were rocking in those days.

   Sadly, I think 1998 was the rainbows and shit. But 97 was still sickner.
