Heather Dinich, we’d like to invite you to go fuck yourself. Heather, you see, opined a piece on ESPN about the toughest football stadiums in the ACC. At #4, Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill (pictured left on game day). At #11, Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh. In her defense of ranking the baby blues at #4, she writes “the picturesque pine trees make this one of the nicest venues in the league.” Yup, when we think tough, we think pine trees. Let’s examine a little more evidence, shall we?
Here’s a video from State’s win over UNC last year.
Yeah, that doesn’t seem like much crowd participation, does it. That kind of noise would easily be drowned out.
Here’s a look at the ruckus that is a UNC game at Kenan.
Yeah, it’s amazing how shiny all those fans are. Wait- those aren’t fans. It’s just a bunch of empty aluminum seats left behind when the ‘fans’ in Chapel Hill ran out of mini-bottles of pinot grigio and left early to head up to Top of the Hill to continue their collar-popping good time.
Remember when Tom OBrien said a chief reason he left BC to come to NCSU was because of how great the crowd was when they played here a few years back? When this happened?
Or how when Jerry Moore (coach at Appalachian State) was asked if Michigan was the toughest place he’d ever played, and he replied that Carter-Finley was much worse? Thanks for coming out, Heather. Maybe you should go back to live blogging women’s bowling (though make sure you leave a couple tourney’s for our own Brinson.)

hahahahaha. One State win last year, big deal. We own the Wolfies. Go Heels!
Thanks for chiming in Moose. Maybe you didn’t realize, but this list was for ‘toughest stadiums’ not ‘nicest cardigans.’ Therefore, our analysis and videos are solid evidence of the inaccuracy of the ESPN report / opinion piece.
