Saved By The Bell Reunion?

by The Piler on June 12, 2009

If you grew up in the late 80s and early 90s, you probably were a fan of Saved By The Bell. I still will watch it any time it reruns on TBS, cheesy as ever. Two TV movies and the College Years run made it a virtual franchise that will live on for years to come.

The “stars” went on to various other acting gigs. Mark Paul Gosselaar was the subject of one of the greatest rumors of all time- Zack Morris died in real life. Then he showed up in Dead Man Campus. Elizabeth Berkley bared all in Showgirls. Mario Lopez catapulted his early dancing success with “The Sprain” to a spot on Dancing With The Stars and various other TV ventures. Lopez even sparked some of my friends’ personal lexicon, with the “Slater Beat,” where you pleasure yourself while sitting backwards in a chair. Dustin “Screech” Diamond tried to keep riding the SBTB wave with the New Class, which fell flat on its face. Diamond was most famous for being rumored to be the brother of the Beastie Boys’ Mike D. That is until his infamous Dirty Sanchez video was released. Tiffani Thiessen went on to star on another teen hit, Beverly Hills 90210, among other ventures. Lark Vorhees might be in porn, but that’s unconfirmed and I might have made that up on the spot.

No matter what any of these people do the rest of their lives, they will be forever be known as the gang from Bayside. Gosselaar’s new show, Raising the Bar, debuts soon and he went on Jimmy Fallon Tuesday to promote it. We hate Jimmy Fallon, but this clip is awesome. Gosselaar rocks straight Zack Morris, down to the clothes, hair, “Zack Morris phone” and his patented time-outs. Dood looked and sounded like he stepped right out of Mr. Belding’s office and on to Fallon’s set. He even rocked out to “Friends Forever” with The Roots. Definitely took me back. Fallon, apparently, is promoting a Saved by the Bell reunion and Morris is in. Jesse committed via the Zack phone. Lisa, Belding and A.C. are in and they are waiting on Screech and Kelly. If Fallon pulls this off with an actual episode the tide my start to to turn with our feelings towards him at the Blahg.

Trivia question- what three things does A.C. stand for? You might get a brahsome hat, if I believe you didn’t cheat and google it.

duffster’s got two of three right, but I believe the third should be “Absolutely Charming”. Also, Zack slipped up on Fallon. He referred to the club they use fake IDs to get into as The Addict, instead of The Attic.
