You may now quit working and for a brief moment, indulge yourself in a touch of nerdiness. And by “touch”, I mean “8-12 weeks worth of obsession”. Yes, that’s right. Rock Band 2 is here. Kind of (it releases on September 14, but we have the songs now). And it is obviously going to kick ass. Via Fancypants.

Rumor has it that the game is more about perfection of the the first version rather than an incorporation of any significant changes, which is probably fine with both most of the fans out there and those who will be getting into it for the first time. One thing that may put folks off is that the game-only and Special Editions are apparently releasing on different dates, just as with Rock Band. Regardless, the big news is that Rock Band 2 will feature full Rock Band instrument backwards compatibility and apparently near full backwards compatibility of songs from the original game. Definitely a good thing to know on the second point for all those out there who have been laying down serious cash for the weekly DLC tracks offered on Xbox LIVE and PSN.

Kudos to Ryan Wilson (why the eff I didn’t immediately link up to this when I saw his email yesterday, I have no idea) for finding this video of John Daly hitting his drive off a tall boy owned by Kid Rock. Yes, you read that correctly. Simply stunning.

You would have to think that after Monday’s “incident”, Eagle Trace Golf Club in Broomfield, Colorado is going to see a lot less junior golf business. On the bright side, they are going to see a lot more degenerate dudes that can barely golf showing up looking for stretch limos. And stretched other things.

Gold Crown Junior Golf Association says the mix-up was the fault of Eagle Trace Golf Course in Broomfield. The golf course cited a “miscommunication” on the part of the golf league.

Young golfers, ages 7 to 12, had not completed their Monday morning tournament before participants arrived in limousines for the Shotgun Willie’s Charity Golf Tournament.

The latter event featured patrons of the strip club paired with dancers who served as caddies. Broomfield Police later broke up the event after complaints from neighbors.

Actually, I take that back. These little bastards are going to be hiking for miles to get to Eagle Whatever It’s Called, even if they don’t play golf.

You will see hundreds of fat little dudes, horrible at golf, sweating face as they hike across 18 holes of grueling misery (trust me, I speak from experience). And who can blame them??

“I cannot tell you the girls didn’t flash out there,” Koch said. “But it wasn’t a free-for-all.”

“There was nothing inappropriate going on around the clubhouse when the kids were around,” said golf instructor Dustin Moser, who said the racier action took place later. “There was a handful of girls that got a little out of control.”

Moser admitted several dancers were scolded for “top-dropping.”

Golf course workers say the Shotgun Willie’s dancers were not allowed to strip down to their bikinis until after the children had been picked up by their parents.

“They were not allowed to go topless,” said Koch. “They were just flirting with the guys.”

“When I walked into the club house to look for my girls, I saw a woman straddling a male at a dining table,” said a mother who picked up her two children at the golf club.

The Yardbarker crew is sponsoring Fight Night at the Playboy Mansion and held a contest to take one lucky network member with them. As you probably know, Brahsome is a member of the ole Yarbarker Network so Stamos fired the following submission for Brinson.

Will Brinson is an American Hero. Just a short 9 years ago, he entered college. And just a short week ago, he graduated. He’s short. He’s fat. He’s a raging Redbullaholic. He stays up until 1am on Saturdays live blogging women’s rugby. He writes for at least 5 websites along with at least 2 newspapers. He likes attractive women, but routinely settles. He likes sports, but loves gambling (read: losing money to friends, colleagues, and randoms alike). And he enjoys a good stranger like no one you’ve ever known.

He deserves to represent YB at the playboy party for two main reasons: First, he’s basically the best writer on the entire network. Just try to argue it with him- unless you’ve had the sixer of red bulls he’s had, and you can tolerate a barrage of unprovoked ‘your mama’ jokes spewing from the face of a man who’s brother’s excuse for getting a 1.8 GPA his freshman year in college was “it’s 1.2 better than Will had”, you don’t stand a chance. Second, he’s a short, fat, lazy, underachievement nexus that would enjoy the excess and enlightment a trip to the mansion would provide more than his usual Saturday nights, which have historically been filled with Hot Pockets, Camel Lights, and challenging 9 year olds to ‘tug of war’ battles on Rock Band, medium level.

In somewhat related news, his birthday happens to be June 26th.

Stamos

YB selected five submissions to go into a drawing for the trip. 1st Place submission got five names in the hat, 2nd Place got four names and so on. The Stamos/Brinson submission was the fourth place so, Brinson had a two out of fifteen chance to go the Mansion and hang with Heff’s box collection. The video above is the drawing, which as you can see, is ripe with controversy.

You may have read on Friday that we were throwing Brinson a graduation, roughly 19 semesters after he enrolled in college. But hey, who’s counting? Pretty standie get together: keg, barbecue, cookies and a few decorations, kindly hosted by the trig who used to write celeb gossip here at Brahsome, Boxy Brown. We were graced with the presence of DC brah-buddy, Zeke. You may recall Zeke for the many hats he wears in our life: Nationals Usher, blackout meatstick, connoisseur of low-end buffets, just to name a few. Zeke’s meatiness is in direct proportion to the number of jaeger bombs consumed. Two weekends ago, with the jaeger bombs flowing like wine, he was doing a rendition of the Fat Guy in a Little Coat routine and ripped one of the sleeves on his shirt, which quickly spring boarded into ripping both sleeves completely off and leaving a button down vest. Once he gets going, it’s unlikely he’s going to stop and the vest was completely ripped off within 5 minutes. It was a spectacle that only a mother could love. With that background in mind, we were hopping for a repeat during Brinson’s party. With no Jaeger on hand, we resorted to keg stands. I knew we had him right were we wanted him when he hurled after his first stand and quickly went back for seconds. The rest of the party went well until somebody knocked a shelf off the wall shattering some ceramic drawers. Boxy walked into the kitchen to see people frantically trying to clean it up and quickly turned around, walked into a closet, laid down in fetal position and cried for 20 minutes. Good times. Sensing we needed to get out of the house before Boxy killed someone, we took the party to Blue Martini.

The ’tini is a bar located off the gel head drag in Raleigh, also known as Glenwood South. I hate this place and it hates me. I get thrown out of there quite often, but that’s mostly because I like to get nice in there and they are down with my kind of niceness.  Tools.  This night was no exception, but we’ll save that for a little later. To be quite honest, most of the bar is a little fuzzy because I was a little brown. And by a little brown, I mean blacked out. I blacked back in at some right before we got kicked out, probably due to the adrenaline from the crowd chanting “Zeke, Zeke, Zeke, Zeke, Zeke…” pleading for the signature shirt rip. Your boy did not disappoint and shredded a Pinehurst US Open Golf shirt which probably cost him $125.  You can see Zeke in action above.  While this was going on, two meat-lockers were fighting in the parking lot, so I did the only acceptable thing in that situation. Scream “Kick his ass, pussy!” at them over the rail. This did please the bouncer  because these were apparently his boys. No surprise there. My roommate quickly realized the situation was getting out of hand and we were heading for the exit, as Zeke was drooling with no shirt on and I was screaming “Pussy” over the railing. He tried to help Zeke out by giving him his undershirt to wear, but that required him to skin up momentarily to get his undershirt off. That put the count at 2 shirtless doods and we got kicked out. The manager told my roommate he could finish his drink before he left. The bouncer had other ideas and told him to leave immediately.  That’s one thing Brahs do not stand for, throwing away perfectly good liquor.  After a few exchanges, my roommate fired off this beauty as he counted off each insult on his fingers, “You’re, fat, you’re stupid, you’re ugly, you’re a bouncer and you’re never going to be anything but a bouncer.”  As you may have guessed, that was it and the bouncer physically removed him from the premises as more insults were hurled his way.  It was pretty awesome.  At least from what I remember of it.

I’m not sure who “Brock” is, but judging from his the look on his face, someone just handed him his first Bristol Internal Memo. Either that or it just occurred to him that his new employer thought it would be totally awesome to invite Steely McBeam (who is making a little bit of a gay face in his direction, not that there’s anything wrong with that) to his welcome to the club! party.

It would be interesting to know if this guy is a high level Sportscenter anchor type, or what the hell he’s doing, that the WWL is tossing a monster party for him. Or perhaps, why he’s so damn unhappy. Maybe he’s a Steelers fan. That could certainly explain a lot.
